Prof. Bernard Siegan will join us for an exclusive roundtable discussion of property rights and zoning restrictions, and address their relationship to economic development.
Professor Siegan is one of the nation's preeminent proponents of strong constitutional protection for property rights and economic liberty. A faculty member at the University of San Diego School of Law, Siegan is author of many well-known books and articles, including Other People's Property, Economic Liberties and the Constitution, and Property and Freedom. He has also advised government officials drafting new constitutions in Eastern Europe. His book Drafting a Constitution for a Nation or Republic Emerging into Freedom has been translated into several languages, including Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Ukrainian.
